Visitors come in, drink coffee, talk a bit, enjoy. But then… then the band starts to play. "She sells sanctuary", you know about The Cult and the roof flies off immediately. It's just the beginning of a memorable evening. Visitors move their heads, legs no longer stand still. The Haarlem Shuffle Band has started.
Five passionate musicians, with a deep love for music. Who make a lifestyle of entertaining audiences with the best music. Singer Carmelita Weele is a prime example of this. Together with Dennis Verkerk (drums), Herman Moens (guitar), Amory Geerling (bass) and Richard Abbuhl (guitar and vocals) she turns every place of play into a heaving party crowd.
"Like the way I do", some of the visitors start to dance. Swept along by the rousing sounds of this Haarlem Shuffle Band and Stevie Wonder's "Superstition", the number of dancers grows. Rage Against The Machine's "Killing in the Name" kicks off and the dance floor fills up completely. And it stays that way with songs from Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Jackson and The Black Crowes, among others. Top music until the last second of the evening; the visitors return home with an infectious smile.
