In April 2015 I started – Karen – Conceptstore NYHAVN in the shop building in the Koningsstraat where Hensen has been wearing company clothing for almost 100 years.

Below you can read the story about how I came to this in the interview with De Zaak. The shop is named after the Nyhavn district in Copenhagen. Shortly before that I was with friends in this old port, which is now completely hot and trendy again. I like to name a store after a place.
I remembered Nyhavn, which I find a nice place, and it means new port, which conceptstore NYHAVN is to me and to my customers.
You can also find the sustainable in it, because it is an old port that keeps renewing itself. Besides, I think it's a beautiful word graphically.
NYHAVN is also home to Pluk Something Beautiful.
