You are very welcome to organize your workshop in our Center. We don't have to ask for top prizes because we work in an incubator. Our large workshop room has a professional sound system and is clean and beautiful! Just look at the pictures below. There is enough space for 12 mats (1.5 meters away). And we have a powerful extraction system, so that the air is completely refreshed every 7 minutes! The windows on both sides can also be opened for clean air.
The Center for Happiness is located near the Sloterplas in a beautiful, quiet, green area in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. The center is part of a collective building: HW10, breeding ground for artists and cultural creatives. We have two rooms in the building:
Studio 14 (the Yoga Room), which is a beautiful, well-heated, clean space that is perfect for dance, yoga and other workshops. This room is about 80 m2, and there is a separate place to make coffee and tea. In the room you can also sit together to have a drink. This workshop space can be rented, varying from 15 euros per hour (minimum 2 hours) during the week up to and including 75 euros only per half day at the weekend. *
* prices only apply to private individuals and self-employed persons. For other companies and for long-term rental other prices apply on request!
A few important rules:
Our cancellation conditions are: cancellation up to 1 month before the start is free of charge. Cancellation up to 2 weeks before: 35% of the total amount is due. Up to 1 week in advance 50% payable. Cancellation less than 1 week in advance 100% payable.
You can have yourself replaced by a colleague (eg in case of illness) or move the reservation 1x free of charge to a new date (dates) that you book immediately.
The rooms must be delivered clean, including the toilets and shower. No shoes are allowed in the hall and no open fire (incense or candles). Afterwards: Refrigerator empty, coffee filters gone and trash can emptied. No dishes should be left standing, not even clean dishes. Not clean means that there is a cleaning fee (50 euros). Key loss costs 50 euros. For this you pay a 50 euro deposit with your rent.
Extra information about the building:
The workshop space and the studio are located at the back of the HW10 building. The doorbell for the large room is also located at the back door. The small space is to the left of the back door and you can knock on the window there. There are also bells at the main entrance. Our studios have a shower and four toilets.
Other people also work in HW10, for example judo, music lessons, drawing lessons, ceramics, photography, furniture design and visual arts. This means that you sometimes hear from other people in the building or in the adjacent courtyard. In practice it is not too bad, we have insulated the workshop room and the studio.
Wheelchair accessible:
The collective building has a special ramp at the main entrance, at the front for people with a physical disability. In addition, there is also the adapted toilet (entrance through the kitchen at the front of the building).
Accessibility:
Parking is paid until 7 pm and free on Sundays. The address of the incubator is Hendrik van Wijnstraat 10, Amsterdam, which is a 5-10 minute walk from public transport (Johan Huizingalaan tram stop & Amsterdam Lelylaan train station) and 5 minutes from the A10 ring road.
