The Hortus is an official wedding location. Our museum café, surrounded by many special and exotic plants, offers two spacious rooms and a charming terrace for receptions, dinners, and parties. For a typical wedding at the Hortus, you can even treat your wedding guests to a love garden tour.

The wedding ceremony

The Hortus is an official wedding location. By day, the official ceremony can be held in the quiet and charming Laranjazaal. From 3 pm the Palm Greenhouse can also be hired, and past 5 pm the café and its terrace our also available. Reception and dining can take place in the café, the Palm Greenhouse, or at the garden terrace.

The reception, party, or dinner

The spacious and well-lit Hortus café offers a special ambiance for an exclusive party or dinner. The large glass doors directly lead to the terrace. Both indoor and outdoor dining is possible. In case of bad weather forecasts, the terrace can be roofed with outdoor party tents. Beautiful candles and wood fires complement your romantic setting.
